Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) - KVV, operates in the fields of medical, paramedical, pharmaceuticals, and allied sciences, with the aim of enhancing education, healthcare services, research, and innovation. KVV has several fully operational and dedicated units, including a) Directorate of Research, b) Hon’ble Shree Jayawantrao Bhosale Innovation and Incubation Centre, c) Centre for Research Innovation and Commercialization at SPPU, Pune in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, d) Specialized Research Laboratories; These units carry out fundamental and translational research to develop innovative solutions for the healthcare sector's real-time problems. KVV has collaborations with over 50 national and international institutions for research and educational activities, and a strong network with industries, healthcare centers, end-users, etc., to understand their problems and requirements for planning feasible solutions.

KVV also has a dedicated COVID-19 diagnosis center, molecular and genetics laboratory, lead referral laboratory, toxicology laboratory, cancer research institute, medical education institutes running 70 different programs, and a 1240-bedded hospital. For over three decades, KVV has actively engaged in fundamental, applied, and translational research in various medical fields, including Cancer Biology, Infectious Diseases (TB, Malaria, AIDS), Neuroscience, Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes, Mother and Child Nutrition, Nutrigenomics, Dental Science, Physiotherapy, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Biomedical Technology.

KVV conducts ample interdisciplinary translational research activities in the department of medicine, physiotherapy, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, and biotechnology to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and society. The researchers at KVV are keen to contribute to non-invasive cancer diagnosis, targeted drug delivery techniques, early diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases like TB, Malaria, VVC, AI and ML intervention in healthcare, drug discovery and development, and integrative and evidence-based statistical studies on community medicine. Additionally, some research groups at KVV are working on biomedical research areas such as synthesis and formulations of compounds of medicinal importance, nanosensors, nanomedicine, genetic studies of diseases and disorders, molecular diagnosis of diseases, and non-communicable diseases like hypertension and diabetes.

This channel is dedicated to contributions which are original, remarkable quality and delivering value, serving both the scientific community and the general public. We prioritize submissions that align with the scope of the journal. The contributions should be focused on priority areas in medical sciences, clinical research, and related disciplines.
