The patient is quite fortunate to have survived for seven years on a wrong assumption/diagnosis, and for many years after correct diagnosis and treatment.
Hepatitis C infection is a known risk factor for cholangiocellular carcinoma both directly and indirectly via liver cirrhosis, and as such a decision on biopsy should have been taken much earlier in the evolution of the case.
Nevertheless, the unique histomorphological features of this patient's tumor are quite unique.
This case report therefore enriches the literature about these features and the differential diagnosis between hemangioma and cholangiocellular carcinoma on imaging
How can a patient have a tube in their ear for 15 1/2 yrs mastoiditis otoisis infection in the bone and not do anything. Hospitalized 4 times or more. Floating in water and my head wanted to explode. I have 6 fusions and 3 new discs in my back. I take Tylenol and ibuprofen for my head ear and for my back pain.
