About
Clonazepam is a medication primarily prescribed to treat seizures and panic disorders. It belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines, which act on the central nervous system to produce a calming effect. As with all benzodiazepines, it works by enhancing the activity of a neurotransmitter in the brain called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which helps to reduce excessive electrical activity.
