The medication Ativan is clinically indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorder (with or without depression) as well as episodic anxiety, among other mental health conditions. Ativan (lorazepam) is given by mouth. For best results, the dose, frequency of administration, and duration of treatment should be determined according to the patient's response.
