Klonopin is used as an anticonvulsant and antipanic agent. It is applied off-label as a hypnotic to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and pain. Using a benzodiazepine can help stop seizures, returning brain activity to its normal range. Klonopin is usually prescribed between 0.25mg and 2mg twice a day. For epilepsy, the dose can reach 20 mg/day.
