Malamas Vangelis holds a Bachelor Diploma in Mathematics from the University of Patras, an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Piraeus and he is currently pursuing his PhD in Distributed Security and Trust management technologies on IoT in the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus, Greece.

He has experience in the fields of IT Security, Data Protection, Trust Management and Distributed environments through participation in EU and national research projects (proposals and projects’ implementation) and also strong academic background (research publications and academic teaching). He also has a deep understanding of Blockchain technology in both Ethereum and Hyperledger platforms , Cryptography and Digital Identities along with Information Security Management System (ISMS) as specified in ISO/IEC 27001:2013 including security requirements establishment, security risks assessment and management, security policies, access control, security incidents and business continuity management.
