I am a graduate of Dow Medical University, batch of 1998. I did my residency in Internal Medicine ( 4 year programme), Fellowship in Diabetes & Endocrinology , during which I also completed my Masters in Clinical Research. My theses work involved looking at the factors associated with overweight and obesity in school going children and adolescents in Pakistan. I have also looked at the Prevalence of Obesity in siblings and spouses of subjects with type 2 Diabetes, the outcome of Pituitary surgery at our centre; Nocardia infection in Ectopic Cushings, Refractory Hypercalcemia in Tuberculosis. I am currently involved in an Investigator initiated Randomized Clinical Trial involving subjects with type 2 diabetes and Non alcoholic Fatty Liver disease.
