Taylor Sawyer, DO, MBA, MEd, CHSE-A is a Neonatologist at the University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Children's Hospital. He is the Director of Medical Simulation at Seattle Children’s Hospital, Founder and former Director of the Neonatal Education and Simulation-based Training (NEST) Program at the University of Washington, Founder and former Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Simulation and Innovative Learning Methods, and a member of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Steering Committee and International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation Education Implementation and Teams Task Force. His academic interests focus on the use of simulation to improve neonatal resuscitation performance and procedural competency. He is an active simulation educator and researcher. In addition to a Master's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Business Administration, he has received Advanced Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
