Dr. Guangbin Chen is a surgeon specializing in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, with extensive experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine from Wannan Medical College and later obtained a Master’s degree in Surgery from Nanjing Medical University.
Currently, Dr. Chen serves as an Associate Chief Physician at Wuhu Hospital Affiliated to East China Normal University (The Second People's Hospital of Wuhu) and Assistant Director of the Teaching and Research Department. He also holds academic appointments as a part-time Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at Wannan Medical College and as a Lecturer at Nantong University. Dr. Chen is a member of the Chinese Medical Association's Surgery Division and the Youth Council of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association. He has received numerous awards, including the Anhui Province Laparoscopic Surgery Competition Third Prize and recognition as an Outstanding Talent in Wuhu's Health System.
Dr. Chen has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, including World Journal of Gastroenterology, Asian Journal of Surgery, Surgical Endoscopy, World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Frontiers in Surgery, and Cureus Journal of Medical Science, with several being highly cited and downloaded. He contributes to the academic community as a peer reviewer for the journals, including World Journal of Gastroenterology, Cureus Journal of Medical Science, and Holistic Integrative Oncology. His primary research interests include gallstone disease, hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors, hernia, and minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques.
