I am pleased to share a brief summary of my career and research endeavors.
I am Dr. Saverio Colonna, a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Traumatology with extensive expertise in knee and shoulder surgery, as well as manual osteopathic medicine. Over the years, I have held key positions such as Head of Surgical Teams for knee and shoulder specialties in various private hospitals, including Ospedali Privati Riuniti Spa and Ospedale Privato Accreditato Villa Laura in Bologna.
My academic contributions include serving as a lecturer at the School of Specialization in Sports Medicine at the University of Siena and directing multidisciplinary schools focusing on manual therapy and postural studies. Additionally, I have been actively involved with the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV), where I contributed as a medical committee member and team physician.
In research, my publications cover a wide range of topics, from isokinetic evaluations and sports injuries to innovative approaches in manual therapy. Recently, I have focused on exploring the effects of myofascial systems, posture, and therapeutic exercises, with several studies published in esteemed journals like Cureus.
As the current president of ManuSapiens and a member of the Commission on Non-Conventional Medicine of the Bologna Medical Association, I am committed to advancing both the clinical and scientific aspects of my field.
If you require further details or specific insights, please let me know. I would be delighted to elaborate.
