About
Yi-Ren grew up in Taiwan and immigrated to the United States in ninth grade. After double majoring in biology and history at Stanford, he received his MD from Stanford and MPH from Johns Hopkins. He is interested in clinical outcomes research on spine and brain tumors utilizing both large-scale nationwide databases and single-center patient information, focusing on improving quality of care, establishing standard of practice, evaluating predictors for poor outcomes, and improving hospital-wide outcomes. He is also interested in eye movement as a precise measurement of brain function. Outside of the hospital, Yi-Ren enjoys jazz, hiking, cooking, and pencil sketching.
