Dr. Shiv Joshi has completed his MBBS, MD, and Post Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine from Mahatma Gandhi institute of medical sciences Sewagram. He has completed the international certification in principles of bioethics and human rights from the department of education of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and he also has a post graduate diploma in Bioethics and Health law. Presently he is working in the World Health Organization National Tuberculosis elimination Program Technical support network as a Medical Consultant. He is a Member of the International Research Committee of the Department of Education in the International Chair in Bioethics and President of the Student Bioethics Program (India). He is the Founder of Working Group for Research in Bioethics and the founding Chairperson of the International Junior Doctors'Association of the International Chair in Bioethics.
He has been elected into the Management team of World Medical Association Junior Doctors' Network as the Medical Ethics Officer for the term 2021-22.
He is the Co-chair, Medical Ethics Working group, WMA JDN and also a Member of the e-health and Med Tech WMA Associate member Task Force.
He has been the National Convener of Indian Medical Association - Junior Doctors' Network and is the current Chairman of IMA MSN Maharashtra and the National Advisor, Students' Network Organization, India
He advocates strongly in the domains of Community Health, Bioethics and rights of the medical profession.
