Abstract

Two >45yo males present to the ED with sudden onset floaters in the right eye associated with painless vision loss. No inciting events, no traumatic injuries, no other complaints.

Eye complaints account for 3% of all visits.

Correct diagnosis can save a patient’s vision and quality of life.

Ocular US is quick, safe and non-invasive and allows differentiation of multiple vision threatening diagnoses
